Converting an Existing CCTV System

Hybrid networks will allow analogue systems to run alongside IP systems in complete harmony. With digital converters it is also possible to utilise an Analogue cameras into an IP network. The converter will provide the IP address for the camera. This can be useful where an existing site needs to be changed to IP. All the existing cameras and network can be utilised saving time and money.

The diagram above shows the typical layout of a traditional CCTV system which provides fairly limited viewing of the CCTV system from one location. The diagram below depicts the typical layout of a new IP CCTV System that has utilised any existing cameras (using convertors) and new IP cameras to provide an IP CCTV Platform.
