Do the bushes around your windows and doors provide concealment for someone to break into your house sight unseen?
What is the lighting like around your home? Is there enough lighting for someone to be spotted in your yard? What about motion sensor lights? Good lighting sends most burglars looking for another target?
Do you have good quality security doors on your home or weak doors that look like they could easily be pushed in?
Decorative glass panels looks great on doors, however they are weak point in your home protection. A burglar can easily break the glass and then reach in and unlock the door from the outside.
Are top quality deadbolt locks installed on all doors of your home? Many quality homes still have cheap easy to defeat locks. To increase the protection of your home make sure you have quality security locks on every door.
Don’t supply tools to burglars. It’s amazing how many homes you can walk around and there are tools of crime laying in the yard. It may be a ladder, a rake or even sometimes a small shovel used for gardening. All of these can be used to defeat your home’s protection. Burglars are often creatures of circumstance so if they find themselves in the right spot at the right time they may decide to use what you’ve left laying around to gain entry to your home.
